About ikPlanner
ikPlanner was born as a project in 2017, in response to a widespread challenge in the healthcare sector: the complexity of managing mandatory on-call shifts for medical staff in a fair and efficient manner. The unique care-related and contractual requirements of each department demand a tailored approach to scheduling, often resulting in administrative overload, a sense of unfairness, lack of transparency, and internal conflict. This situation has a direct impact on staff wellbeing, disrupting the work-life balance, affecting rest, and creating difficulties in ensuring proper clinical coverage.
In 2024, the technological development necessary to bring ikPlanner to life was finally achieved. The result is a user-friendly, fully operational, and scalable application designed to meet the needs of large hospital departments and institutions.
